Asia-Pacific Publisher Recommendations for Privacy and Data Ethics Review

You may follow the recommended guidelines in this article for your privacy policy If you are running ATS in the following countries:

  • Hong Kong

  • Indonesia

  • Japan

  • New Zealand

  • Singapore

  • Taiwan

Language for Sharing

  • Your privacy policy must state that the publisher may share user data with its service providers or third parties.

  • If you target users in Australia, New Zealand or Japan, LiveRamp must be named as a service provider or third party.

Language for Purpose

Your privacy policy must state that the publisher may use or share user data with third parties for specific purposes including marketing or targeted advertising.

Language for Opt-outs (Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Japan Only)

The privacy policy must link to the LiveRamp permanent opt-out and include an overview of LiveRamp and the ATS workflow so that the individual understands what is occurring, what LiveRamp does and what the user is opting out of.

Age Restrictions Recommendations

The subscription or registration process should require users to fill in their age or have an equivalent mechanism for age verification that should prevent LiveRamp tags from being fired if the user does not meet the minimum age. The minimum age requirement is as follows:

  • Australia: 18

  • New Zealand: 18

  • Hong Kong: 18

  • Indonesia: 18

  • Japan: 18

  • Singapore: 18

  • Taiwan: 18
