Create a New Configuration (US for Web)

An App represents the configuration of Privacy Manager on your website. It holds all configurations to control the look and feel, content, and functionality of Privacy Manager.

Before implementing the Privacy Manager on your website, you must create a configuration for that app.

  1. Go to the Privacy Manager US Overview page by selecting Privacy Manager > US from the left navigation menu.

  2. Click New.

  3. From the New Configuration popup, enter a name for the configuration.

    Note

    Later you will be able to search for and report on the App using this name.

    Note

    The Choose Platform drop-down list defaults to "WEB", which is the only allowed selection for Privacy Manager US.

  4. To use an existing template as the basis for this configuration, check the Use Template check box and then select the desired template from the drop-down list that appears.

  5. Click Create.

Your App has now been created. You can proceed with the configuration in the rest of the articles in this section.

You can also manage the configuration from this page:

  • Edit: To edit a configuration, click the configuration name.

  • Rename: To rename a configuration, click the More Options icon on the right side of the configuration row, and then select Rename.

  • Duplicate: To duplicate a configuration, click the More Options icon on the right side of the configuration row, and then select Duplicate.

  • Delete: To delete a configuration, click the More Options icon on the right side of the configuration row, and then select Delete.
