Implement Snowflake Pattern with Temporary Snowflake Credentials

LiveRamp Clean Room’s intelligence application on top of Snowflake streamlines data collaboration, delivering end-to-end solutions that drive business outcomes for brands. This integration combines LiveRamp Clean Room’s flexible UI with Snowflake’s Data Cloud to orchestrate clean room use cases through low-code data connectors in order to access data at the cloud source with zero data movement.

Note

LiveRamp recommends creating temporary credentials in your Snowflake instance to be used during implementation.

To implement Snowflake Pattern with temporary Snowflake credentials:

  1. From the LiveRamp Clean Room navigation pane, select Data ManagementCredentials.

  2. Click Add Credential.

  3. Complete the fields:

    • Name: Enter a descriptive name for the credential.

    • Credential Source: Select "Snowflake Account With Credentials"

    • Account ID: Enter the Account ID associated with your Snowflake account (visible in the URL of your Snowflake instance)

    • User: Enter the username associated with your Snowflake account

    • Password/Key: Enter the password/key associated with your Snowflake account

  4. Click Save Credential.

  5. Once you have saved your temporary credentials, contact your LiveRamp representative notifying them of the newly-created credentials.

Your LiveRamp representative will complete the LiveRamp agent installation and notify you once the installation is complete.

    Note

This process typically takes 1-2 business days to complete.

  6. Once you have received confirmation that the LiveRamp agent installation is complete, deactivate the temporary credentials in your Snowflake instance

  7. If you choose, delete the credentials entered:

    1. From the LiveRamp Clean Room navigation pane, select Data ManagementCredentials.

    2. From the row for the credentials, select "Delete Source" from the Actions dropdown.

You're now ready to continue with your clean room implementation.

Note

If there is an update to the LiveRamp agent at any time, you will be notified to repeat this process.
