Privacy Manager GDPR
For Web
New
It’s now possible to enable debug mode via query string. Enable debug mode from Console or by adding a parameter in the URL.
Don’t have a VPN at hand to test Privacy Manager behaviour? You can now override the Privacy Manager Geo detection by adding a parameter in the URL, which will make debugging easier.
A toggle to enable/disable all vendors has been added to the vendors overview screen so that the consent status for all vendors can be set at the same time.
You can now invoke “Reject All” function using a text link in description text.
Consent data can now be updated via query string parameters (required for sharing consent from mobile SDK). By adding parameters to the URL, you can update the consent data, for instance, to pass it from the mobile SDK to a web view. This feature can be enabled from Console.
The caching policy for the wrapper is now configurable. Enabling caching of the Privacy Manager wrapper can improve Google page insight results. Be aware that enabling caching will result in config changes to only become apparent after the caching period has expired.
It is now possible to disable the Privacy Manager custom font and default to the system font. This may improve performance, but will impact the look and feel of Privacy Manager across platforms as system fonts can vary.
Improved
The stack buttons have been replaced with a tri-state toggle to control and indicate consent state of underlying purposes.
The bar layout is now responsive for small screen devices in case there is very little content to be shown.
The manager screen is now responsive in height so scrolling will not be required in order to get to the call to action buttons.
Dutch translations have been updated to be less formal. (Note: This does not extend to IAB purpose descriptions.)
Currently when enabling a purpose, Privacy Manager also enables all associated vendors and vice versa. This behaviour is now optional. For new configurations, vendors are not connected by default. For existing configurations, the behaviour will not be changed unless you choose to do so.
The caching period for the bundle has now been increased to 7 days. This will result in fewer calls to the bundle and better performance.
In order to ensure all required assets for Privacy Manager are loaded as quickly as possible you can now enable preload in the install section. Enabling preload can improve the loading speed significantly. Note: A change in the tag will be required for existing implementations.
The Purpose and Vendor Tabs on the overview screens are now fixed and no longer scrollable.
