Release Notes, June 2, 2021
Today we are releasing a lot of new functionality around ATS.js and LaunchPad.
ATS
Configuration
ATS.js is now configurable from Console. No more manual configuration of the ATS Library. Now you can simply navigate to the ATS section to control your ATS configurations.
Implementation Options
The implementation and maintenance of ATS has just become easier with the new implementation options.
Hosted tags - Previously you would have to manually edit and commit code for any change in the ATS.js configuration. Now the library configuration is included in our new tag. After publishing in Console, any change in the ATS.js configuration will be immediately apparent on your site.
LaunchPad - ATS.js is now fully integrated in LaunchPad. LaunchPad is our universal tag to manage and load client-side applications aimed to streamline and simplify implementation. When ATS.js is loaded from LaunchPad you will be able to leverage the hosted tag functionality, but additionally ATS will not be loaded outside of the allowed countries and domains for the connected placement. This means the ATS API will not be called where it’s not allowed. By default LaunchPad will load ATS.js when DOM is ready, but you can change the firing priority to suit your needs.
LaunchPad
Universal CMP API
Customers that are running business in different regions need to account for different local privacy legislations. Running different CMP’s that adhere to different regulations can be challenging. The LaunchPad Universal CMP API simplifies the CMP implementation by offering a single method to handle any Privacy Manager configuration and enables conditional firing of tags across regions.
Integrations
Tag loading rules for LaunchPad - Conditional firing no longer has to be set up for each Privacy Manager configuration. Tag loading rules can now be configured in LaunchPad.
Tag Manager Integrations for LaunchPad - LaunchPad supports integrations for Google Tag Manager, Tealium IQ and Adobe Launch.
Google Consent Mode for LaunchPad - Consent Mode can now be handled from LaunchPad. Different behaviours of Consent Mode can be configured for different regions.
Improved Workflow
LaunchPad configuration is now updated and published automatically when connected apps (ATS and Privacy Manager) configurations are updated.
