First-Time Access

LiveRamp Clean Room offers three levels of hierarchy to represent companies, teams, and use cases. This hierarchy consists of account, organization, and clean room. Accounts may have one or many organizations. Organizations can have zero or many clean rooms that they either own or are participants in.

A user (a single email address) can belong to multiple organizations within an account.

Clean room access is controlled at the user level. This means that even if a user belongs to an organization that hosts or participates in a clean room, the user must still be added explicitly to the clean room by a clean room admin to have access.

In a clean room collaboration, clean room owners invite an organization admin from another organization to be their partner in the owner's clean room. As an owner, you can assign roles to partners at the clean room level.

Key functionalities to consider:

  • Data connections and activation partners are configured at the organization level. All data connections must be configured at the clean room level with business and governance logic specific to that collaboration.

  • SSO (single sign-on) can be configured at the organization level.

  • Questions (analytic templates) may live at the account, organization, or clean room level. The same question may be deployed across multiple clean rooms. Clean rooms may be provisioned with multiple questions.

  • A question run is a query execution that is unique to that clean room, its dataset configurations, the selected question template, and run-time parameters entered by the user.

There are a few things we recommend an administrator do to maximize the value of their organization:

  • Verify Receipt of Application Emails: Ensure that you properly white-list the application sending email address “no-reply@email.habu.com”.

  • Create Base User Roles: While you can assign a role to a user at any time, it is easier to first create your desired roles and then create your users against the assigned roles. To create a user role, select Organization ManagementRoles from the main navigation menu. From there you can add or modify existing roles. For more information on user roles, see "Managing User Roles".

  • Load Any Necessary Credentials: When necessary, and for approved connections, LiveRamp Clean Room allows you to store specific credentials as part of our organization credential management settings. From the navigation menu, select Organization ManagementCredentials. From there you can add or modify existing credentials at any time.

  • Add Additional Users: Once you have created a role, you can now add new users to your organization. From the navigation menu, select Organization ManagementUsers. From there you can add or modify existing users. Adding users to an organization is different than adding users to a clean room. For more information on user management, see "Managing Users".
