Announcement: Action Required to Receive DCM Data Transfer Files (6/11/21)

On June 8, 2021, Google updated the naming convention of the dimension fields in DCM Data Transfer Files to reflect the current product names. Previously the naming convention of the dimension fields was “DBM <google dimension name>”. This has now changed to “DV360 <google dimension name>”. For example, if the previous field was “DBM Media Fee 3 (USD)”, the new field name would now be “DV360 Media Fee 3 (USD)”.

Because customers receiving Data Transfer Files might rely on specific field naming conventions for their own automated data processing, we stopped processing the files received starting June 8 until we get guidance from those customers on how we should format those dimension fields.

If you’re a customer who receives DCM Data Transfer Files, review the two options below and tell us which option we should use for your files by creating a LiveRamp LiveRamp LiveRamp Community portal case:

  • Process your files with new field names (which start with “DV360”)

  • Process your files with the previous field names (which start with “DBM”)

Note

Create a separate TSP case for each account that receives Data Transfer Files.

Once we have this information, we can process the backlog of files received since June 8 and start delivering them to you again.

Follow the instructions below to create a support case to tell us which option you want to use:

  1. From the LiveRamp LiveRamp Community portal Welcome page, click Create a New Case.

  2. Select the account from the Account Name drop-down list.

  3. From the Product Type drop-down list, select “Measurement”.

  4. From the Case Reason drop-down list, select “Task”.

  5. From the Priority drop-down list, select “Medium” and then click Next.

  6. In the Subject field, enter “Data Transfer Files Field Name Change”.

  7. In the Description field, please list which option you would like to move forward with:

    • Receive files with the new “DV360” field names

      Note

To ensure that the new header names do not interfere with any automatic data processing, you might need to coordinate with your internal teams. Inform your Technical Operations Manager if we should wait to process files until you have made any necessary technical updates on your side to receive the new headers.

    • Receive files with the previous “DBM” field names

  8. Click Next to create the case.

If you have any questions or if you wish to discuss your use case, contact your Customer Success Manager.
