Announcement: Changes to Names for Some LiveRamp Solutions and Products (4/8/24)

A few weeks ago we announced the LiveRamp Data Collaboration Platform, which offers functionality to proactively address evolving privacy considerations and signal loss, while also serving your data collaboration needs of today to power breakthrough insights of tomorrow. As you unlock a new world of opportunities with the LiveRamp Data Collaboration Platform, we are dedicated to simplifying and streamlining every experience you have with us. 

Whether that means delivering a single platform for all your activation, measurement, and collaboration needs, or simplifying how we speak about our capabilities, we want to make it easy for you to focus on delivering better business outcomes and more personalized customer experiences—and we can take care of the rest.

In line with this commitment, beginning on Monday, April 8, you’ll see simplified name changes for both the solutions we sell and the products you use to implement those solutions reflected across a number of different areas where you interact with LiveRamp: 

  • For customer teams who work with contracts, invoices, and order forms: You’ll notice these solution name changes reflected on those documents.

  • For customer teams who are working within LiveRamp’s products: You’ll see a small number of product name changes in the product UIs, help documentation, LiveRamp University, and the LiveRamp Community Portal, among others.

Note

The URLs for many of the affected articles are unchanged, but if you’ve bookmarked or saved any previous links there might be some that you need to update.

These name changes will be gradually reflected across the coming weeks and months, and there is no immediate action required on your part. We understand these changes may require some period of adjustment, especially as you begin to see new solution and product names.

Why are you changing the solution and product names?

LiveRamp aims to enhance simplicity across our products, solutions, and partnerships. As part of this effort, we're streamlining our solution names and some of our product names.

Do these changes affect the products or services that I currently have?

No, your existing products and services will remain unaffected by these changes.

Will I need to update any existing integrations or workflows due to the renaming?

No, the renaming of our solutions and products will not require any adjustments to your existing workflows or integrations.

Will the functionality of the products remain the same despite the name changes?

Yes, all functionality will remain the same.

Are there any new features or improvements accompanying the product rebranding?

No, all product functionality and features will remain the same.

Can I expect any disruptions in service or support during the transition period?

No, the product name changes will not cause any disruption in service or support because the transition will be seamless. All changes are scheduled to take effect on April 8.

How will the renaming of products impact my experience as a customer?

You will notice changes across our platform and updates to contracts upon renewal or upsells. Invoices will also display the new Sales Item Code with the new product names following a contract update.

Will my current contract be updated with the new names?

No, your current contract will not be updated with the new names. Any naming updates will occur upon signing any new contracts such as renewals or upsells. Until your current contract reaches its term date, all contracts and invoices will maintain the original names.

When will my invoices reflect the changes? Does this affect my pricing?

Your invoices will only be updated to reflect the name changes upon the signing of new contracts with the new naming, such as renewals or upsells. It's important to note that these changes have no impact on pricing.

What kind of UI changes will I see?

The UI changes are minimal, primarily involving the replacement of specific terms like "Connect" with more generic references to "LiveRamp." For instance, you'll notice adjustments such as a change from "Welcome to Connect" to "Welcome to LiveRamp" on the Home Page.

Will I be able to search for the previous product names in product help documentation?

Yes. When using search in the help documentation, you should be able to search for a previous product name. For example, if you search for "FBR", the search will automatically return results for Measurement Enablement. Also, for the next 90 days, each affected help article will include a Note listing the "Formerly Known As" (FKA) product name.

Will my saved links for help articles still work?

The URLs for many of the affected articles are unchanged, but if you’ve bookmarked or saved any previous links there might be some that you need to update.
