Announcing Changes to LiveRamp’s Public Encryption Key (1/5/21)

LiveRamp takes data security very seriously and we are constantly looking for ways to improve. One of the ways we keep data secure is through file encryption.

We updated our public encryption key on December 29, 2020. This encryption key allows you to encrypt your data before sending it to LiveRamp.

If you encrypt the files you send to LiveRamp, update to the new encryption key before August 2, 2021. See "Encrypting Files for Uploading" to download the new key.

Warning

Update 6/8/21: The expiration date for previous encryption keys has been extended to August 2, 2021. Starting August 2, if you try to upload a file that was encrypted with a previous encryption key, the file upload will fail. Make sure that you’ve downloaded the current key before August 2. See "Encrypting Files for Uploading" to download the current key.

Once you have successfully updated your encryption key, you will be able to encrypt your files as you would normally.

Moving forward, we will update our encryption keys every two years in accordance with security best practices. We will notify customers in advance before any action is taken.

If you have any questions, contact your LiveRamp representative.
