Announcing New “% of Media” Column on the Data Marketplace - Buy Segment Data Page (7/3/19)

We’ve recently added a “% of Media” column to the Data Marketplace - Buy Segment Data page to account for distributions to social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, Snap, LinkedIn, and Pinterest) where segments will be billed at the percentage of media spend listed, as reported by the data buyer.

Data buyers: An additional agreement is required to distribute Data Marketplace data to these platforms through our Consumer Social Solution. Contact your LiveRamp representative for more details.

Caution

If you distribute Data Marketplace data to a specific campaign ad set from multiple data sellers where some bill at a lower percentage of media spend and some bill at a higher percentage, you will be charged one time at the higher rate.

Data sellers: Make sure you are opted in for distributions to these social media platforms by having the "Direct to Buyer" media channel enabled in your contract settings (see "View Data Marketplace Contract Information" for instructions). If that channel is not enabled, contact your LiveRamp representative.

For distributions to social media platforms, each data seller can choose between two pricing tiers for all of their standard segments: 10% or 15% (all custom segment distributions are billed at 15%). Standard segment pricing is configured at the data seller level, and is not configurable on a per-segment level in either a Data Marketplace taxonomy file or in the segment details side panel.

Caution

Billing on % of media can only be applied to the social media platforms that are part of LiveRamp's Consumer Social Solution and does not apply to distributions to other platforms.
