Announcement: Analytics Environment GCS Bucket Retention Policy Update (2026-02-11)
Effective February 11, 2026, LiveRamp is updating the default expiration policy for new Google Cloud Storage (GCS) buckets in Analytics Environment (AE).
What is Changing
The change affects the default data retention period for specific GCS buckets created for customers. These policies will be applied by default to all new AE tenants and any new “-work”, “-coderepo”, and customized GCS buckets for existing customers as follows:
New “
-work” and “-coderepo” buckets will have a default expiration policy of 365 days.New customized buckets (e.g., “
-inventory”, “-test”, etc.) will have a default expiration policy of 30 days.
Impact on Existing Buckets
This change will not be applied to any existing GCS buckets by default. LiveRamp administrators will communicate with tenants regarding the implementation of the expiration policy to existing GCS buckets as needed.
