Announcement: Tableau Desktop Activation Update (2026-09-23)
Tableau Desktop now uses Login-Based License Management (LBLM) to activate licenses in Analytics Environment.
The first time you open Tableau Desktop, you must activate it by signing in to the Tableau Server with your LiveRamp single sign-on (SSO) credentials.
Note
You must have the Safe Haven Data Analyst persona to access Tableau Desktop.
