Release Notes, April 11, 2024
Our latest release includes a couple of new important enhancements for the conversions API products. See what's new and improved for those products below.
New
You can now enable Data Layer Detection for Meta Conversions API events. The Data Layer Detection allows users who leverage data layer on their properties to push event data to the CAPI. A data layer is a JavaScript object that is used to pass information from your website to your tag management solutions.
When a Meta CAPI event has been configured with Data Layer Detection enabled, users must then obtain the snippet containing the data layer specifications needed to push the event. This feature can be enabled for all event types and supports data layers run by Google Tag Manager and Adobe Analytics.
To learn more, see Implement Meta CAPI via ATS for Web.
Note
This feature is set to be available for other conversions API programs in the future. Keep yourself updated for upcoming releases by checking out the All Release Notes page.
If you are implementing the Pinterest Conversions API Program with ATS for Web, you can now select and set hardcoded values in your events configuration. This improvement allows you to pass predefined values for any parameters in a Pinterest CAPI event.
For example, if the transactions on your website are always in USD, you can set “USD” as a hardcoded value for the Currency parameter, rather than obtaining the information from the URL or via CSS selector. To learn more, see Implement Pinterest Conversions API via ATS for Web.
Note
This feature is set to be available for other conversions API programs in the future. Keep yourself updated for upcoming releases by checking out the All Release Notes page.
To extend measurement to conversion events from unauthenticated users, the Meta Conversions API Program now supports events without an identity envelope. This feature is currently available for API implementation of the Meta CAPI, but will be made available for ATS for Web implementation in the coming future.
Improved
You can now use underscores in the name of mobile apps on the Placement details page. To learn more, see Create an ATS Placement.
