Create a New Configuration (CCPA for Web)

An App represents the configuration of Privacy Manager on your website. It holds all configurations to control the look and feel, content, and functionality of Privacy Manager.

Before implementing the Privacy Manager on your website you must create an entry for that app. This guide will walk you through this process.

Getting There

From the CCPA page, select Overview from the left navigation bar.

Apps / Configurations

You can create and manage your instances of Privacy Manager via "Overview" functionality.

Tip

You have the possibility to create a new configuration from scratch or use an existing template. More info on templating can be found in "Privacy Manager Templates."

  • Add App - Create a new App

  • Rename - Rename an App

  • Edit - Edit an App by clicking on the name

  • Duplicate - Duplicate an App

  • Delete - Delete an App

Step 1. Create a New App

Go to "Overview" and click the "+ Add App" button:

This opens the Create New App screen, where you define all relevant details for your App.

Step 2. Choose Platform

The Privacy Manager can be configured only for Web platform.

  • Web - Supports desktop and mobile web

Select Web for the desktop and mobile web configuration.

Step 3. Enter Basic Details
  • Name - Enter your App name. Later you will be able to search for and report on the App using this name.
