Announcement: Improved Workflow for Facebook Offline Conversions (7/19/21)

Starting July 19, 2021, LiveRamp will begin making changes to the internal workflow for Facebook Offline Conversions API attribution program (FBOC) to switch from the Activation processing pipeline to the Measurement Enablement pipeline. This improvement does not require you to make any changes to how you use FBOC, but will enable you to view data processing status on a per-file basis and will increase the reliability of the workflow.

We historically used the Activation processing pipeline to support this workflow, as Measurement Enablement previously did not support delivery of CIDs and/or hashed PII; Activation was the only pipeline that could deliver either of these identifier types. However, with recent improvements, we can migrate FBOC to the processing pipeline it belongs - Measurement Enablement.

As part of these updates, starting July 19, existing FBOC customers will be migrated from the Activation workflow to Measurement Enablement over a period of a few weeks. Once you have been migrated, you will notice the following changes:

  • You will no longer see FBOC destination accounts in your list of destinations accounts.

  • Data processing status will be viewable in Connect by going to the My Files page and selecting the appropriate “<client name> - FaceBook Conversions” audience (this has been changed from viewing data processing status by selecting a destination account). See "Check the Status of an Uploaded File" for more information on checking file status.

  • You will now be able to view data processing status on a per-file basis.

Note

When you open the details pane on the My Files page in Connect for a file in an FBOC audience, all of the stats for RampIDs will always show “0” since we are matching to Facebook CIDs.
