Distribute Data Marketplace Segments to TV Partners

If you’re a data seller wanting to distribute Data Marketplace data to a TV publisher (either to their account in Advanced TV or through Freewheel), make sure that the following requirements have been met before distributing the segments:

  • You must have been set up for TV activation use cases by LiveRamp.

  • Your Data Marketplace segments must have been vetted and approved for TV use cases before distribution and must meet the requirements of LiveRamp’s data seller approval process. 

    Note

    If you have not been approved, you cannot distribute segments to TV partners. To find out more about the approval process, contact your LiveRamp CSM.

  • Include clear segment names and descriptions so that TV partners can easily understand how the data was source and what kind of data the segment contains (offline data vs. online data, for example).

  • The segment metadata for those segments must include the TV Targeting use case (column P in the segment metadata file) and CPM pricing values in the TV Targeting Price column (column U). For more information, see "Update a Data Marketplace Segment Metadata File".

  • Make sure to keep your segments fresh by performing full refreshes on a regular basis

  • If you’re going to be distributing to Freewheel on behalf of the TV partner, work with the partner and Freewheel to choose the proper destination account tile and to coordinate the distribution.
