Disable Data Marketplace Segments

At times you might want to disable your Data Marketplace segments so that buyers no longer see them in the list of available Data Marketplace segments.

There are two methods you can use to disable segments, depending on what you want to achieve:

  • Disable via the "Data Marketplace - My Segments" page in Connect: Segments will be removed from the Data Marketplace and all existing distributions of those segments will stop.

  • Disable by updating a segment metadata file: Segments will be removed from the Data Marketplace, but any existing distributions of those segments will continue.

Disable Segments via the Data Marketplace - My Segments page in Connect

Disabling Data Marketplace segments via the "Data Marketplace - My Segments" page in Connect removes those segments from the Data Marketplace and all existing distributions of those segments will stop.

  1. From the Data Marketplace navigation menu, click Sell Data to navigate to the Data Marketplace - My Segments page, or click the Sell Data tile from the Welcome page.

  2. Check the check boxes for the segments you want to disable and then click Disable.

    Tip

    • It might make it easier to set the Status filter to "Live" to show only segments that are enabled in the Data Marketplace.

    • You can use the check box to the left of the AUDIENCE NAME column to select all of the displayed segments.

  3. From the warning banner that appears, click Yes to confirm.

Disable Segments by Updating a Segment Metadata File

Disabling Data Marketplace segments by updating a segment metadata file removes those segments from the Data Marketplace, but any existing distributions of those segments will continue.

  1. Download a segment metadata file by following the steps in "Steps to Download a Data Marketplace Segment Metadata File".

  2. Update Seller Approval column (column AD) to "N" for each segment you want to disable.

  3. Upload the segment metadata file by following the instructions in "Upload a Data Marketplace Segment Metadata File".
