The TikTok Events API Program for Online Conversions
The TikTok Events API Program allows advertisers to pass ATS envelope data along with online conversion events to TikTok without the complexity of building a server-side integration. As advertisers, you can leverage the conversion data for measurement and optimization to improve ad targeting in TikTok.
Requirements
To implement TikTok Events API, you must have the following:
TikTok ad account ID: If you’ve already set up a TikTok Ads Manager account for your website, we recommend that you use the same ad account ID for your browser and server events. To learn where to find your ad account ID number, see TikTok’s article “Ad Account information FAQs”.
Authentication token: To give ATS access and to authenticate requests to TikTok, you need to provide an access token which you can generate in TikTok Ads Manager. To learn how to do this, see TikTok's article "Setup guide for Web".
If you haven’t yet, add the "TikTok Events API" product from the Marketplace. To learn how to do this, see Add Products to Your Subscription.
Set Up TikTok Events Integration in Console
Once you have completed all the requirements, you can start the process of integrating your ATS configuration with the TikTok Events in Console.
From the navigation pane, select ATS → Web.
Select a configuration you want to integrate TikTok Events with, or create a new configuration.
Select the Integration tab and click New.
Select TikTok Events API.
Select your ATS implementation method.
Enter a TikTok ad Account ID and authentication token, and click
to check their validity.Note
The Action Source is set to Website by default as the TikTok Events Program only supports online web events for now.
