Q: | How can I add a partner to the Collaboration Partner list? |
A: | You must work with your LiveRamp representative to have your partner displayed in the Collaboration Partner drop-down list to create data permission for them. |
Q: | Why am I no longer able to access a partner's data asset? |
A: | You can see why you no longer have data permissions by checking their status on the Data Permission page. From the navigation pane, go to Data Assets > Data Permissions. If the status of your permission is Expired, the data permission is past the configured expiration date. Check the expiration date by clicking on the row of any active data permissions so you can take action in a timely manner. If the status of your permission is Revoked, your data partner has revoked the data permission or the permissioned asset has been deleted by your data partner. If you suspect a data permission or data asset was deleted by mistake, you can contact your data partner and discuss the next course of action To learn more about what other information is available on the Data Permissions page, see The Data Permissions Page. |
Q: | What happens if my data partner deletes an asset that has been permissioned to my organization? |
A: | If your data partner deletes a data asset that has been permissioned to your organization, you will no longer be able to view and use the data asset. This action has the same result as when your data permission has expired or has been revoked. |
Q: | Can my data partner modify data assets that have been permissioned to my organization? |
A: | Your partner is still able to modify their data assets, even after they have been permissioned to your organization. Any changes data owners make to those data assets in their organization will automatically be reflected in your organization as well. |
Q: | Can I modify data assets that have been permissioned to my organization? |
A: | You cannot modify data assets owned by data partners. If you need to modify them, you must contact your data partner to ask them to make the change. |
Q: | Will my data partner know that their query activities on my asset are visible? |
A: | Data partners can see that their query activities are visible to data owners by viewing the side panel of the asset on the All Assets page. Your partner will also see a pop-up on the SQL Editor page when they hover over the permissioned asset. |
